What happens if I don't finish my project?
No problem for pottery painting projects, we'll carefully wrap your project up and store it (up to 30 days) for you. Glass fusing projects must be completed the same day they are started. Most pottery or glass projects take at least an hour to complete and therefore, we kindly request that you consider this when you are planning your visit to the studio.
Why does it take a week to get my project back?
Once you've completed your project it has to be hand glazed by the Simply Creative team and then fired in our kiln.
What happens if I can't pick up my piece once it is ready?
The Simply Creative Studio will hold your project for 30 days. Unfortunately, due to lack of storage space we cannot be responsible for holding it longer than that. Every attempt will be made to contact you before the end of the 30 day period.

How does painting your own pottery work?
1)You pick your pottery project
2)Make a design on your pottery, if you so choose (light pencil marks will burn off in the kiln)
3)Choose your colours
4)Paint your piece – 3 coats of paint are necessary
5)Pick up your piece up one week later
Are there any tips to painting pottery?
1)3 coats of paint are necessary to ensure full coverage of your piece
2)Do not apply the next coat of paint on your piece until the previous coat you applied is completely dry (we have blow-drying stations set up in the studio to speed up this process).
3)You cannot mix this type of paint together to create new colours (eg. mixing red and white to make pink). The studio offers more than 50 different paint colours to choose from so mixing of paint colours is not necessary.
4)You cannot put lighter colours over dark (the dark colour will always show through during the firing process). If you bring a colour mistake to the Simply Creative team, they can help you correct things and get back on track.
5)You do not want to get the piece of bisque wet.. Avoid dip your brush in water unless you are changing colours.
